Mark your calendar and plan to attend the kick-off meeting for GHI’s new Long-Range Planning Committee (LRPC).

(!) Why it matters This meeting will discuss the committee’s charter, processes, and more. The Board and LRPC will work very closely together — four current Board members are on the committee — to identify opportunities and challenges then plan for action. Everything members care about (forested spaces, co-op revenue, frame and masonry home maintenance, etc.) could be part of the committee’s focus so its work is worth your time and sustained attention.

One of the goals in the Board’s current 12-month plan is to establish a Long-Range Planning Committee that would assist the Board in formulating a master plan to guide future developments in our community for the next thirty years. One of the major components of the master plan should be a program to ensure future orderly and economical major improvement, renovation and/or replacement of the present housing stock.
Motion: I move that the Board of Directors approve a Long-Range Planning Committee that would assist the Board to formulate a master plan to guide future developments in the GHI community during the next thirty years.
